With free live music from 6.30 and $15 pizzas 5.30-9 every week, Wednesday's are a great day to come down to Moon!

This week's featured artist is Gildor

Utrecht-based singer-songwriter Gildor got discovered on YouTube in 2021 by British music veteran Sandy Roberton, who fell in love with the Dutchman's signature warm sound. Roberton got him signed on Beverly Martel Music and later that year Gildor and his band traveled to the iconic RAK studios in London to record their debut album “Silent River” with Isabel Gracefield (Sam Smith, Radiohead).

Following the sudden death of the label owner on the cusp of the album release in 2022, it seemed uncertain for a while whether the record would see the light of day. A year later however, the 33-year-old managed to make up for the delay with a successful release through Polymoon Music, followed up half a year later with the sophomore record "Long Way Round".
The albums feature a relaxed mix of alternative folk and acoustic pop, contemplative and lush in harmony.

In 2024, the band finished yet another record that will be coming this winter, venturing into a more moody and psychedelic terrain inspired by the likes of Crosby, Stills, & Nash and Jonathan Wilson.
