"We are very sorry but with the weather forecast for Sunday looking so bad, we have decided to postpone the Gondola Walk until further notice. It is best to do the walk when it is calm and sunny to fully appreciate the views, so we want to wait for a bluebird day to make the most of it.
We will keep you posted.."
Join us on a walk up Gondola Hill (“Mt Collins” 433m asl) and help raise funds for the continuation of our work of Kaipūpū Sanctuary and Picton Dawn Chorus, Waitohi Picton.
Enjoy this unique opportunity to access this incredible local viewpoint which is not normally open to the public.
The 1hr, 2.2km walk to the top is steep in places, but there are plenty of opportunities to ‘stop and enjoy the view’!
Once you are at the top you will enjoy amazing views of Waitohi Picton, Waikawa, Queen Charlotte Sound, Shakespeare Bay and Kaipūpū Sanctuary.
Register from 10am at the end of Fantail Heights, Endeavour Park Estate, Picton.
Walk times: Walkers may start between 10 – 11am. Please note for Health and Safety reasons walkers must start their walk no later than 11:15am. We aim to be down no later than 2pm.
