Intro To Standup Comedy

Have you always wanted to try stand-up comedy? Or do you just want to learn how to be a funnier, more confident speaker? Let's get you started in this fun, interactive one-day workshop. No experience, preparation, or talents required!

In this class you will learn to:

Develop creative practices to generate and explore comedic ideas
Craft your ideas into standup comedy jokes and routines
Maximize laughter with great delivery
Overcome your stage fright and become a more confident presenter
During class, we’ll write together, craft bits, play games, share material, and give you some fun, low-pressure practice on the mic.

By the end of the day, you’ll have heaps of your own ideas to explore further onstage, an understanding of tools used by professional comics, and the motivation and skills to brave your first or next open mic.
