Artist Statement:
I find inspiration in unplanned subjects, drawing from my life experiences and keen observations of the world. My artwork is an invitation for viewers to explore and interpret what they perceive in my work. I intentionally reduce clarity, creating a sense of ambiguity or mystery. However, through the final step in my artistic process, I provide a linear view of the world, offering a sense of definition and meaning in each piece.
This deliberate approach to diminishing clarity and then providing a clear perspective, as per the work above, can create a dynamic and thought-provoking experience for the viewer. It challenges them to engage more deeply, reflecting on their own interpretations and perceptions of the subject matter.
By drawing from real-life experiences and using acute observation, I infuse my artwork with authenticity and a connection to the world around me. This allows my audience to potentially connect with the emotions and narratives embedded in my work.
Overall, my artistic process involves a deliberate exploration of perception and definition, inviting viewers on a journey of discovery and reflection.
