Kia Ora,
It is time for our next international multilingual meetup to practice a language/meet new people! It has been a while since we held our last one, but we are planning to return to holding these monthly. Please just note that this is on a Tuesday evening (not Friday evening as in the past).
Come and join us on Tuesday 6th May, from 6pm at South Garden Chinese Restaurant. These language events are always free, however in order to support our venues, every person who attends MUST purchase something to either eat or drink when you attend. Please order something when you arrive and join us at our table(s).
Whether you speak 2 languages or 20 languages - all are welcome. Come and share a drink and/or meal together and:
1. Practice your target language with native speakers and others who are also learning the same language. Our previous Meetups have so far had a really good mix of native speakers and learners of French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Russian & Spanish (and of course English) plus quite a few more. It would be great to have some speakers and learners of other languages too.
So that everybody can get the most benefit, please try to spend an equal amount of time speaking in your native language with those who wish to practice that language.
2. Discuss your language learning with other language learners - which language(s) are you learning and which methods/resources are working for you?
3. Meet new people & learn about new cultures. Most importantly, just enjoy yourself and remember that we are all meeting together with one thing in common - our love of learning and speaking a foreign language.
Please RSVP if you'd like to come.
Please just note that as we will be making a booking for those who RSVP, please do purchase something to drink and/or eat so that we can continue to use venues such as this without additional cost.
