The job of rewriting the stories of Dunedin's Pasifika treasures has begun...

We have temporarily closed the Pacific Cultures Gallery while it undergoes a short-term refresh, and a more substantial long-term renovation is also being planned.

Engagement with communities is a key part of these changes, so if you would like to hear about the work that has started in the gallery or ask questions, join us for the first talk in our 2025 Friends in Focus series.

Leota Meredith, Tūhura’s Pasifika Engagement Coordinator, will discuss the rationale, plans, and processes for the refresh as well as the longer-term renovation of the gallery.
