Poetry Lab

Description
This course is ideal for poets of all levels hoping to improve their writing skills, develop their voice and get feedback on their work. Each class will include a short lecture of things to think about during the session but the rest of the time will be spent workshopping your poems.

Bring pen and paper to all sessions.

What we'll cover:
Week 1 - Introduction: experiencing poetry and getting to know your peers
Week 2 - Finding Inspiration
Week 3 - Avoiding the cliché
Week 4 - Bringing out your voice
Week 5 - Embracing the page
Week 6 - Poetry as performance

When the course is complete there will be a live class poetry reading!

Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly.
