Rat-proofing Compost Bin Workshop - EcoFest

At Onetangi Community Hall, this workshop with WRT and Te Korowai o Waiheke to learn how to compost with the compost bins sold at Waiheke Sustainability Centre – and how to rat-proof them! We love composting, but rats love it too, so how do you make your compost rat-proof? WRT will be providing the chicken wire and wire cutters for participants to take home a free rat-proofing base for their bin. Come and discover how easy it is!

Confirmed participants will receive a 50% discount toward the purchase of a composting system that can be redeemed at the Waiheke Sustainability Centre.
