In this one-day workshop you will be inspired by the magic of repurposing and transforming a pre-used coffee sack by embellishing it with gorgeous threads and stitching in an array of stitches. From this you can choose to repurpose the coffee sack into a piece of art or usable item such as a cushion, wall hanging, table mat or floor rug.
You will leave with the knowledge and inspiration to be able to tackle more projects that will delight and decorate your current house interior/exterior. You will learn tassel edging, deconstruction, tufting, stitching and embroidery plus more.
This practical hands-on small group workshop is based around Maggy facilitating and challenging you in an environment that is encouraging and stimulating. Maggy will provide technical guidance and share her extensive knowledge of working with a range of textile media, fostering experimentation and exciting growth in your personal art-making journey.
Maggy is an experienced tutor - she has a vast knowledge of many art and craft techniques, and has attended numerous residencies and exhibited her work nationally and internationally, including receiving several WOW awards.
