Saltlines for Sealion Women is a site specific performance on St Clair Beach in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. Local female performers respond to climate breakdown and rising tides of global violence drawing courage and inspiration from the sealion community.
This dance performance was created especially for and presented on St Clair Beach. At the turn of the tide, witness a movement chorus trace sinuous saltlines across the wet sand at the water’s edge. The audience is invited to witness the dynamic interplay of movement and nature through the ever-shifting landscape of the beach whilst listening to a soundscape inspired by the movement patterns of the pakake.
Koha/Free. No booking required.
