Like lively Celtic music? Want to have fun while keeping fit? Come and try Scottish country dancing!
Scottish country is social form of dancing, usually in groups of eight, and is quite different from Highland dancing. There are no bagpipes, and kilts are worn only by men at formal occasions. No partner or previous experience is required; soft-soled shoes, comfortable clothing and the ability to count to eight are all you need, although a moderate level of agility is preferable.
Every Monday 7.30pm at the Manawatu Scottish Society Hall, Berryman’s Lane, Palmerston North or every Wednesday 7.30pm at the Whakarongo Community Hall, cnr Stoney Creek Road & Napier Hwy.
All welcome!
