Sculptural Twining Workshop

Twining (in Māori tāniko) is a hand weaving technique that doesn’t require any tools. Join me for a day of learning how to start, twine and finish your own little vessel. We are using cotton thread, that is easy to handle and doesn’t require any preparation.
After this workshop you will be able to start experimenting with other fibres and forms.

What else we will cover in this workshop

• other fibres and materials that are suitable for twining
• ideas and suggestions how you could decorate your vessel (using soil, paint, wax etc)

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners with no previous weaving experience.

Materials and tools are provided; bring a notebook and/or camera if you wish to take notes
