Shear for Life 2 "In Remembrance of Absent Friends"

Welcome to SHEAR For Life 2 "in remembrance of absent friends"

Last held in 2019, we are proud to again be holding another Shear for Life event on February 1 2025 at the Ewing family's Hindsridge Farm woolshed.

A Charity Shearing Event supporting the Ashburton Cancer Society and Hospice Mid Canterbury, 3000 sheep will be shorn by Shearers over the age of 50 years in an 8 hour period.

Aside from non-stop shearing there will be plenty of entertainment with music, raffles, an auction and family activities for all including a family area with kiddy train rides, kids activities, ice-creams, sausage sizzle, and much much more. Kids can bring along their teddy bear and have a go at shearing their teddies too!

Guest appearances throughout the day from Shearing Legends and All Blacks greats alike will keep you entertained along with the local, national and international shearing talent.

Food and beverages available for sale on the day. Come and enjoy a fun day out for all ages and families, whilst supporting two great Mid Canterbury Charities. Entry is a Gold Coin donation.
