Come explore the Headland at Shepherds Park with a knowledgeable and experienced local guide.
Steve Cook was instrumental in the park’s transformation from what had become, neglected farmland. Through his work as a forest restoration contractor, tackling the weeds and planting with Friends of Shepherds Park to create the beautiful area we enjoy today. He was so committed he gave up his own time every Sunday for 12 years for the love of the park.
WHEN: Meet at 10am

WEAR: clean, sturdy, comfortable shoes for walking and clothing suitable for the weather.
We will finish with some snacks and drinks.
This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Saturday 22 March – Tuesday 22 April 2025. Inspiring climate action across Tāmaki Makaurau, it is hosted in collaboration by EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust and Waiheke Resources Trust.
