Sika Sound Journey

Returning from a successful NZ Tour with over twenty events from Dunedin to Whangarei, to complete the full circle and play for his home in Golden Bay. We are delighted to have Sika back and to enter the dream with him here in Golden Bay. Pohara hall has had considerable energy put into renovating it and it's acoustics always have been great for this Sound Journey.

Sika's Sound Journeys are truly unique. They are sonic explorations that feature didgeridoos, drums, flutes, voice and orchestral elements.
Sika's collection of foraged sounds from objects he has recorded in nature, add even more textures. Many of his sounds are completely unrecognisable and remain abstract. Immersed in this cocoon of abstract sound, we can find ourselves in the most surprising places in our mind. It is in this timeless realm, beyond the normal limitations of an earthly reality, that anything is possible.

There will be two journeys with an interval. Most people choose to lie down, so once again, please bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket to get really comfortable.
