Need to “step up” and speak to an audience as part of your working life and find it difficult? This course will equip you with strategies to assist and provide opportunities to build your confidence in this role.
Build your skills and confidence in speaking to an audience, whether it’s for a work presentation, a more formal speech, or part of a performance. In this experiential course, we’ll explore and practise skills to be better prepared to speak, build rapport with your audience, and deliver content effectively.
By the end of the day’s session, you’ll be given:
Essential elements of a great talk - from impromptu talks to formal presentations.
Tools to prepare, organise, practice, and deliver a meaningful, persuasive, and effective presentation.
Actions that build rapport with your audience.
Strategies to maximise the impact of your words, voice, and body language.
Mindsets and actions to reduce stage-fright and appear more confident.
Memory techniques and strategies for impromptu speaking.
Note: You must be a NZ citizen or resident to qualify for the free course fee option. A condition of enrolment is that you must provide photo ID when you attend.
Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel your registration, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
