This two-part stool-making workshop provides a rewarding opportunity to explore the craft of furniture making through the ancient ways of green woodworking. In the first session, shape the seat and three legs with tools like the draw-knife and travisher. After the legs dry, return to master the wedging technique that completes your stool’s structure. Set in a woodland, this workshop allows you to connect with natural materials while creating a functional, timeless piece to enjoy for years to come.
Part 1: Saturday 15 February: 10am-3pm and Part 2 : Saturday 1 March: 10am-3pm (rain dates: 22 February / 8 March: 10am-3pm)
Please note:
- All materials and tools will be provided.
- This class is held over two days from 10am-3pm and is weather dependent. You must be able to make the rain dates too. A refund will not be given if the first dates are cancelled due to weather and you cannot make the rain date.
- This workshop is suitable for adults and only suited to those who can work safely without direct supervision with very sharp hand tools.
