The Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 5
As part of the Globe Sunday Matinee Series, Roy Tankersley (harpsichord) heads a group of distinguished solo musicians, Jun He – violin and Ingrid Culliford – flute, accompanied by a string ensemble. The concert features one of the most loved works of Johann Sebastian Bach – the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, which Bach wrote in part to demonstrate his own virtuosity at the harpsichord. The concert will also include music by other Baroque composers.
