Experience an unforgettable evening at Cloudy Bay with a sunset screening of the new release Widow Clicquot, the inspiring story of the fearless founder of Veuve Clicquot whose vision shaped both Champagne and Cloudy Bay’s sparkling winemaking traditions.

Relax on the Cloudy Bay lawn and be transported to 18th-century Champagne as you discover the true story of Barbe-Nicole Clicquot, a pioneer who created Veuve Clicquot and forever changed Champagne.

Cloudy Bay shares a special connection with Veuve Clicquot. Our Widow’s Vineyard is named in her honour, celebrating the heritage and the role Veuve Clicquot played in bringing Cloudy Bay to the world, and whose méthode we still use to create Pelorus today.

You’ll get to enjoy a unique menu by Jack’s Raw Bar and a complimentary glass of wine on arrival. Additional glasses from our full range will be available, including the exclusive Widow’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2021 from our Founders’ Cellar collection.

A few things to know...

- This is a ticketed R18 event. No walk-ins.
- Gates open at 7pm and the movie begins after sunset, sometime between 8:15 and 8:45pm.
- Food & drinks will be available.
- Please bring your own seat, whether it’s a bean bag, deck chair or beach lounger. There’s plenty of space on the lawn for a picnic blanket, too.
- A warm layer and/or a blanket are recommended as the evenings can get cool.
- Smoking is prohibited - and that includes vaping and e-cigarettes.
- Cloudy Bay is a licensed venue. Strictly no BYO alcohol and food.
- Please leave your dogs at home.

In case of bad weather, a back-up date is scheduled on Sunday 16 February, and you will have the choice to attend or be refunded.
