Come and celebrate Seaweek with Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR) and connect with our beautiful moana by experiencing a guided snorkel on the reef!

We are collaborating with Department of Conservation to offer this event which will include sand castle competitions, spot prizes, sausage sizzle and colouring competitions for everyone to be a part of, so come along and enjoy the day while you wait for your snorkel session!

The days outline will include 3 set times for snorkelling groups where we can have 30people max per session so get in quick to secure a spot!

11am - opening karakia and health and safety briefing (recommended for every participant to be a part of)
12.30pm till 1.30pm - 1st snorkel group in the water (arrive at 11am)
1.30pm till 2.30pm - 2nd snorkel group in the water (arrive at 12.30pm at the latest)
2.30pm till 3.30pm - 3rd snorkel group in the water (arrive at 1.30pm at the latest)
4pm - Close and evaluations completed

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

We follow very strict health and safety policies and procedures so we will need everyone to arrive AT LEAST 1 hour before their snorkel session so we can complete all the forms required and get you organised for your dive. :)

Every participant 16 years and younger needs to be supervised by an adult in and out of the water so if you are signing up your child for a snorkel, you will need to register yourself and snorkel with them in that group.

Please be aware of insects/mosquitos/midges on site - we will have insect repellent on hand but please BYO if you have sensitive skin or react to some repellents.

Please contact Amy Hardy on 0277139152 or amy@mountainstosea.org.nz for any further information :)

Look forward to celebrating seaweek with you all in our beautiful moana. :)

Nga mihi
