Textured Rings - Summer

Make your own personalised ring - a gift for yourself, or for someone special!

Learn the basic technique first in copper or brass, and then craft your final piece in silver. This 3-hour class is ideal for beginners, groups of friends and visitors to the city.

Learn to measure your finger, cut metal to length and texture it using the rolling mill, hammers, letter stamps and punches. Students are then taught to form and solder their ring strip, shape and clean it up into a beautiful customised ring.

Included in the class fee are copper and brass for practising on, one silver ring strip and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio.

Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
