The Barleyshakes Duo

The Barleyshakes duo are one of the best Irish folk music acts on the tour circuit both here and in Australia.

They have an energy and authenticity that is contagious. Their live shows are full of lively dance jigs, reels and polkas, traditional and award winning original songs, and humorous storytelling.

This is the final show of a two month tour of NZ, which saw them perform to packed venues at the Auckland folk festival, travelling from Northland to Invercargill and selling out some of those shows while they were at it.

Meet the Barleyshakes
Alan & Kristin Kelly are two founding members of the well-known Irish powerhouse band, the Barleyshakes. Together, they bring the upbeat sounds of Ireland to life with sweet and vibrant fiddle and spirited guitar. As recipients of the Queensland Music Award for World Music, the Barleyshakes have gained international recognition. Notably, Alan Kelly recorded as a bodhrán soloist on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, showcasing his exceptional talent.
