Theo Janssen is a Dutch-born New Zealand artist who has lived in New Zealand since 1958. In 1966, he won first prize in the National Bank Mural Competition with a mural created with baked enamel tiles.
Sadly, Theo Janssen died on 12 February 2025, so we are extending his final exhibition until the end of March 2025.
Over his career, Theo became well-known for large-scale public works, bronze sculptures, and stained glass. As he grew older, he began painting more.
His works are in public and private collections in New Zealand, Australia, The Netherlands, England, France, India, America, Italy, and South Africa.
The Theo Janssen exhibition has a wide selection of some of his later works, including bronze sculptures, resin casting, acrylic paintings, and chalk drawings.
Fareham Gallery is located in the historic homestead of Fareham House, located at 80 Underhill Road, Featherston 5710, New Zealand.
