This workshop is an introduction into sculptural wet felt making using fine merino wool.

You will
- learn about the origins of felt making
- understand basic felt making techniques hands - on
- make a felt vessel/pod using a resist

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners who are interested in making three dimensional objects. Its also for those who have some experience in two dimensional felting, and would like to move on to three dimensional felt making.
By the end of the day you will be able to felt your own pods/vessels using a variety of resists.
You will receive a handout with more valuable information (suppliers, books, instructions)

All materials and tools will be provided. Please bring:
- whatever you use for taking notes
- an old towel
- an empty plastic bottle with a pump opening, one you can easy squeeze
- merino wool (optional)

The workshop will be held in my studio in rural Otaki and will be run in very small groups to ensure the best outcome for each student.

Workshop Fee $160 (this includes $20 worth of merino wool)

You will find more information on my website www.birgitmoffatt.com
