Voices from Gallipoli – a one act play exploring the origins of the Anzac spirit. Written and performed by Mark Wright.

90 minutes of sageness and savagery – humour and hardship that will make you laugh and cry! Mark portrays nine very different characters from that disastrous campaign. From an 18-year-old conscript to an 80 year-old returned serviceman. However this is not a play about “war “it is about the human spirit, endurance and mateship during times of adversity.

What the critics have said –
“I’m still reeling a week after seeing it, from the beauty and power of Mark’s ‘tour de force ‘ voices from Gallipoli!“
“With a deft hand, Mark balances the sombre stories with humour. they are more than just stories, however poignant; they are people!“
“Thank you Mark for bringing your creativity and passion to help us understand these powerful messages still relevant today.“
“Mark‘s acting, as to be expected, is outstanding as he plays each character with the slightest of Costume change.“
“… So if you see a man with nine hats, take a seat, it’s a show not to be missed!“

What the Audience have said -
"It was like you put the humanity back into a history book!“
“Didn’t think it would be my cup of tea! But I’m coming back tomorrow night with my sister and my mother!“
“You made me laugh and you made me cry …"
"You bastard!“
“It’s not a history lesson… But I was moved, entertained and informed “
