The Waiheke Chamber Music Festival Returns in 2025!
After a sold-out inaugural festival in 2024, the Waiheke Chamber Music Festival is back for another unforgettable weekend of world-class music.
The ultimate musical ‘getaway’ of the year returns on March 22-23, 2025, blending impeccable artistry, stunning visual art, and the natural beauty of Waiheke Island.
The festival’s performances will take place at the breathtaking Gabriella Lewenz Gallery, a venue that perfectly frames Waiheke’s natural splendour with its 360-degree views of the Hauraki Gulf.
This year’s lineup features some of New Zealand’s finest musicians, including Co-Artistic Directors Amalia Hall (violin) and Tania Frazer (oboe), alongside guest artists:
Peter Clark (NZ String Quartet), Lara Hall (violin/viola), Robert Ashworth (viola), Callum Hall (cello), Jesbery Hartono (cello) and Grayson Masefield (accordion).
Amalia Hall, one of New Zealand’s leading violin soloists, is celebrated as the violinist of NZTrio, Concertmaster of Orchestra Wellington, and a regular soloist with orchestras worldwide, including in Europe, the UK, USA, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Mexico, Honduras, and South Africa.
Tania Frazer, an Australian oboist of New Zealand heritage, has had an extraordinary career spanning three continents. As Co-Artistic Director, she brings her expertise as a soloist, chamber musician, and former Artistic Director of the acclaimed Southern Cross Soloists and Bangalow Music Festival.
The festival is proudly hosted by Gabriella Lewenz, a Waiheke Island-based artist whose stunning works, inspired by the island’s beauty, are featured in galleries and private collections across New Zealand, Europe, the USA, Canada, and Asia.
Don’t miss this extraordinary weekend of music, art, and nature on the beautiful Waiheke Island!
