Come down to Wadeson Island to celebrate World Wetlands Day by doing something for a wetland!
On the first Saturday of every month (depending on weather and other factors) a totally unaffiliated group of volunteers meets at Wadeson Island for a quick working bee in the name of looking after this remarkable space right on Hokitika's doorstep. This month we will be celebrating World Wetlands Day (which actually occurs the day after, on Sunday the second) by weeding and releasing around established plants and continuing to add new plants to Wadeson Island.
You bring: Your friends, your favourite gloves, sturdy shoes and sun protection
We bring: Plants and equipment, snacks and water
Come on down for a couple of hours of good times in the sun! You are encouraged to get in touch in advance through our website at wadeson.chris-nz.com to be notified of any postponements or future events.
