Pack a picnic and come along to enjoy outdoor fun, games, crafts and more in the summery heritage gardens.
Celebrating Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's connection with the harbours and waterways and love of beach life, explore the nautical theme. Learn rope laying and knot tying and make a paper sailboat. Cool down with delicious homemade gelato by Bear Gelato and discover the process of making this much loved iced treat, from the 19th century to today!

Step back in time - churn butter and attend a Victorian School lesson. See the the blacksmiths at work in the forge and delve into the art of book crafts with the bookbinders. Visit the sweet shop filled with old-fashioned lollies and fudge.
With performances of Morris dancing at 10:30 & 11:30) and bagpipes at 12:30 there will be lots to see. Have brunch or lunch at the Homestead Café and make a day of it.

Admission: adult $18, student/senior $14, child $10, family $46, free entry for Society members, annual pass holders & children under 5. Homestead Café will be open for dine-in or to takeaway into the Village grounds
