Pre 49 Street Rod Nationals

Where: Hood Aerodrome, South Road, Masterton, Wairarapa

Restrictions: All Ages

Ask anyone who attended the 1980/1984 nationals events, 2000 pre-49s, or the more recent Deuce Days and they'll tell you of the great hospitality, weather, food and country road cruising that the Wairarapa provides to hot rodders. Oceanside Street Rods, originators of this popular event, is again hosting the pre-49 Street Rod Nationals at Masterton, with Copthorne Solway Park being the base. We're expecting 200 cars to attend and the central New Zealand location makes it ideally convenient for North & South alike. The event is well organised and as with all Oceanside events, you can expect excellent value for money. The pre 49 nationals event kicks off on Waitangi Day 6 February so participants have one less day to take off work for travel, and it means there will be a full three days of fun in store. There are runs on the Friday & Saturday, with prizegiving during a sumptuous brunch Sunday morning, giving plenty of time for rodders to head home.

Over the next few months we will be releasing more information, but suffice to say for now that we have a few tricks up our sleeve that will again lift the bar for what has become a very special event on the hot rod calendar.

Participants: Make plans to motor to Masterton as Oceanside Street Rods is planning to make this a very special event.

Please note - you need to be registered before booking your accomodation as the hotel will only be making rooms available once your registration has been confirmed.

To further wet the appetite, we've got some significant lucky draw prizes up for grabs too as we have secured sponsorship from major USA hot rod parts manufacturers including Mooneyes, Vintage Air, Billet Specialties, Lokar, Borgeson, Specialty Power Windows, Flaming River, Brookville Roadster, Glide Engineering, Superbell, California Custom Car Covers & Classic Instruments.

Spectaors: There will be public viewing of the event on Saturday morning at Hood Aerodrome. Nominal admission charge.
