John Bishop
John started his comedy career in 2000 and within three years of his first ever gig, John was playing to sell-out arenas across the UK and his debut comedy DVD became the fastest selling in UK history.
2014 saw John head to Australia after 22 years to retrace the route of a mammoth bike journey he first made back in 1992 using his original diary as a guide to cycle from Sydney up the coast of Australia towards Far North Queensland. In the three-part series John Bishop’s Australia, he encountered an extraordinary range of vivid characters and heard their fascinating stories.
Do not miss this chance to see one of the UK’s finest comedians in fantastic full flow in October.
In 2012, John performed to 500,000 people in his sell-out Rollercoaster tour. With its massive helter skelter set and surprise finale, the DVD of the show went on to top the charts. This time he is pouring even more rocket fuel into the tank in an attempt to exceed those excitements. This time he is guaranteed to take you to even higher heights!
Not content with this, in 2012, John cycled, rowed and ran from Paris to London in his one-off special for Sport Relief in John Bishop’s Week of Hell (BBC One), wrote about it in his best-selling autobiography How Did This All Happen? which was released in paperback the following summer. John ended his year with a royal engagement with Her Majesty hosting the prestigious Royal Variety Show, before hosting John Bishop’s Christmas Show on BBC One.
