It seems the global appetite for 70s and 80s rock bands also extends to New Zealand, with Ozzy Osbourne and glam-rockers Kiss announced as the headline acts for the two-day Rock2Wgtn music festival at Westpac Stadium next Easter.
Coming up are Elton John, Bryan Ferry (with Joan Armatrading supporting) playing Wellington and Auckland and then Joe Cocker headlines 'A Day on the Green' in January. The Police play first in Wellington and then separate the fans from the also-rans by playing Western Springs the day after the Big Day out.
Bon Jovi takes centre stage in Christchurch on 27th January before Rod Stewart rocks Auckland in February and John Mellencamp hurts so good at the annual Mission Concert in March.
The sleeper hit of the concert calendar must be UB40, headlining the upcoming Raggamuffin music festival, which has been in the top five most popular events on Eventfinder since the festival was announced.
