John Campbell was given the privilege of making an important announcment - Split Enz will be playing concerts in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in March next year.
Tim Finn, Eddie Raynor and Noel Crombie spoke about the belonging and timelessness of their music during the interview with Campbell, and about the success of their Australian concerts.
Rather than raging against the machine over whether Splt Enz are 'ours', we're just rapt they are playing together again in EnZed.
When asked if they were introducing new material, Crombie said that he had "written a few" including some "good stuff". We can't wait.
Speaking about the "tight five" in the band, Finn, Raynor and Crombie made special mention of Michael Barker on drums. If you have to ask who the 5th is, you shouldn't be reading this, and aren't allowed to go.
Raynor let it slip that the first concert will be in Christchurch on 21st March. The Eventfinder team will be going, except the younger ones who dare ask "who are Split Enz"? Philistines.
