J'08 Is Coming Soon . . .

Monday 17 December 2007

Competition Ends: Monday 31 December 2007

Christchurch is really shaping up as one of the best places for the international acts to come and play - as well as Bon Jovi taking to the stage soon, it's not much longer before the J'08 festival comes to Addington.

It's a chance for you to kick summer off in style with top acts such as Evermore, Elemeno P and Spacifix. It's all hosted by DJ Jay-Jay Feeney of the Edge radio station, so you can be guaranteed it'll be a blast.

Tickets are $37 each and we’ve got 5 pairs of tickets to give away!

It couldn't be any simpler - to enter, write a poem about J'08, any of the bands or The Edge as a comment here.

The J'08 event will be one of the better ways to kick start 2008.

And there's some pretty awesome Kiwi talent involved in the show - perennial favourites Evermore will be there. They'll even no doubt be playing that song which TV One has been using forever and driving us all nuts...However, the three Hume brothers of Evermore have come a long way since the release of their debut album Dreams. They've certainly been busy what with over 300 live shows, an MTV Award, a NZ Music Award, the APRA Silver Scroll, five ARIA nominations, and hung a platinum record plaque on the wall of their home studio.

Also there will be Spacifix who are garnering a fast-growing reputation for outstanding live performances. Spacifix write and perform original music they call "world fresh". Full of colour, energy and theatre, they defy comparison. So you'd be a fool not to see this for yourself.

Elemeno P has a reputation of being one of New Zealand's best live bands. They've enjoyed success both at home and world wide. Catchy songs such like Fast times in Tahoe, Verona and 11:57 earned them Best Group at the New Zealand Must Awards.

All this plus DJ Jay Jay Feeney - what more could you want? Doors will open at 2.30pm with the Arena Doors opening at 3.00pm before the concert starts at 5.00pm.
