Jack's Back! Johnson That Is . . .

Friday 7 December 2007

Competition Ends: Friday 28 December 2007

It's the news his many fans have been waiting for - Jack Johnson is back and ready to tour again!

With a new album on the way in February 2008, it seems the perfect time for the Hawaiian born singer songwriter to hit the road and showcase his loved music.

Jack's achieved commercial success ever since his first release "Brushfire Fairytales" back in 2001 and his style, sometimes described as acoustic/soft rock/ alternative continues to pull in a very wide fan-base.

His next album is believed to be called "Sleeping Through the Static" - and it's no question that Jack Johnson's forthcoming three date tour will be the first chance to see some of the songs performed live.

His last two albums "In Between Dreams" and "Sing-a-Longs and Lullabies for the film Curious George" reached the number one spot in the Australian, New Zealand, American and UK marketplaces confirming Jack's status as a top notch musician.

The New Zealand dates, which take in Christchurch, Napier and New Plymouth, come in the middle of an Australian tour so it will be a great opportunity to appreciate one of the more chilled talents of our time.

Tickets go on sale from 7 December.

Also on sale are tickets for Maroon 5 now as well - Maroon 5’s debut album Songs About Jane was a resounding success in Australia and New Zealand, topping the charts and notching up five time platinum sales in both countries. Sold out tours resulted, cementing them as one of Australia and New Zealand music fan’s favourite bands.

So it's time to ask Santa for some very nice presents this year - or maybe just a ticket to the date at the Vector Arena!
