Tahuna Breaks - New Single and Nationwide Tour

Tahuna Breaks are pleased to announce the second single and title track from their upcoming second album “Black Brown and White”, along with their nationwide album release tour.

The track “Black Brown and White” is available for download Amplifier and iTunes and is the second offering following on from the first single ‘Empower me’ from the new album that is due for release on August 31st this year.

Lead singer and guitarist Marty Greentree describes this song as “...basically our version of the blues.  Its purposely sparse and stripped back, not overcrowded with instruments and other melodic embellishments so that you get a real a sense of space, loneliness and vulnerability.  We swapped it around so that the guitar sings and is the storyteller in this song and the vocals are there to support the message of the guitar.  At its core it is blues/soul music, about honest reflection, self-examination and the pain of being alone.”  Set against a backdrop of classic ‘Tahuna groove’ courtesy of the bassist Winks and drummer Timmy G this tune is sure-fire nourishment for your soul!

“Black Brown and White” was recorded in December 08 with the infamous Dr Lee Preeble at the Surgery Studio in Wellington and is the follow up album to the bands first - “Reflections” released October 07. National tour dates have been announced for Opononi, Tauranga, Whitianga, Raglan, Tokomaru Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Napier, Christchurch, Dunedin, Auckland, Wanaka and Queenstown.
