Owl City, the indie-synth-pop sensation, is returning to New Zealand for one show this August.
Owl City is the most well known work of the super talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist also known as Adam Young, and has gained mainstream popularity with catchy tunes and experimental beats.
The 2011 tour starts in New Zealand with an All Ages show at the Auckland Town Hall on Friday 12th August.
Adam Young is living proof that dreams do come true… of course, with the help of the Internet. The Minnesota-born artist suffered from insomnia and spent his days living in a dream world away from his hometown and mundane job. Young utilised his free time to write beautiful poems that emulated his optimistic nature and idealistic world. He jump-started his music career mixing tapes in his mum’s basement and streaming them onto the Myspace; the songs quickly went viral.
