Miss Niue Aotearoa Pageant in Auckland

Who will be the next Miss Niue Aotearoa 2012?

A few beautiful contestants who are all descendants of Niue ‘The Rock of Polynesia’ will be competing for this year’s beauty queen crown.

The finals will be held on Saturday 7th July at the Logan Campbell Centre at ASB Showgrounds Greenlane from 7pm – 12am.

“Miss Niue Aotearoa has established itself as one of the largest events within the Niuean community in New Zealand that includes major celebrity appearances,” says Pageant Directors Sharyn Makoni and Nancy Manukuo.

“This is an event that shouldn’t be missed and promises to be a fun, audience-engaging show.”

The reigning Miss Niue Aotearoa has been involved in many major events such as Niue Constitution week held in Niue, performing at the Vodafone Warriors matches and Pasifika festival, a special guest at the Rugby World Cup 2011 as well as attends numerous sponsored events.

Hosting the night is Pacific nominee musician Malcolm Lakatani along with a variety of performances from Niuean celebrities Che-fu and Tyree, but also Drew Neemia, Jae’O, Emily Muli, Deach, Hip Hop Dance Crew, and the Avondale College Niuean Cultural Group.

“We’re please and very lucky to have major sponsors supporting the pageant,” says Pageant Directors Sharyn Makoni and Nancy Manukuo.

“I hope the Niuean community and New Zealand residents will get right behind Miss Niue Aotearoa Pageant and show their support for all contestants participating and the beautiful Niuean culture that will be showcased.”
