Wellington's San Francisco Bath House is closing for refurbishment at the end of the year.
The iconic venue will be closing on New Year's Eve, throwing a party featuring two of their favourite and longstanding headliners - The Phoenix Foundation and Hang the DJ's DJ Bill-E.
Renovations will take two months to bring the building up to fire and earthquake safety regulations.
The announcement comes months after being told by the Wellington City Council to halve their capacity from 500 to 250 because of fire safety risks.
The restriction meant the future of the Bath House was uncertain due to being too small for international acts. Renovations are the first step to getting capacity back to 500.
December 31st will be a farewell to the San Francisco Bath House as it is now, with fans asked to "watch this space" for an exciting redevelopment in the new year.
Tickets to Farewell the Bath House are available from Under the Radar. Doors will open at 8.00pm, with The Phoenix Foundation on stage at 9.30pm sharp. DJ Bill-E is on from after 11pm.
