Australian hip-hop group Hilltop Hoods are returning to New Zealand for shows in Auckland, Wellington and Queenstown in June.
Undeniably the biggests name in Australian hip-hop, the trio have released six albums since their formation in 1991, with 2006's The Hard Road the first of three consecutive #1 albums on the ARIA charts. Their innovative sound and energetic live shows saw their hard work and talent recognised by the Australian music industry with six ARIA award wins, including three for Best Urban Album.
Hilltop Hood's most recent album Drinking From the Sun was released in 2012 and features appearances from Sia and members of the Roots and Jurassic 5. A new album is on the way, but a release date has not been announced yet.

Australian’s hip-hop heavyweights are back!
Golden Era, Robin Fernando and Flava are hugely excited to announce the return of the Adelaide trio Hilltop Hoods to New Zealand shores. The New Zealand tour will see the vibrant act play shows in Auckland, Wellington and Queenstown this June.
Numerous sold-out national tours and standout festival appearances has seen Hilltop Hoods singled out as one of Australia’s most vibrant live acts by press, industry insiders and fans alike. Their success has not been limited to Australia though; the Hoods’ have proven they can take their sound to the far corners of the globe. They’ve toured everywhere from Switzerland to South Korea, appearing at such festivals as Glastonbury, Splendour In The Grass, Oxygen, Open Air Lumnezia and Splash.

Drinking From The Sun, Hilltop Hoods 6th studio album, featured as Triple J's Album Of The Week and the hit single ‘I Love It' took over the airwaves across New Zealand and Australia as they supported Eminem and performed on the 2012 BDO tour. As Hilltop Hoods' third consecutive number one album, the album was certified Gold on first day of release quickly selling to Platinum the following week (Now Double Platinum Certified). The album features guest appearances from Black Thought (The Roots), Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Sia, Classified (Canada), Lotek (UK) & Solo (Horrorshow).
With all these exceptional accolades, Hilltop Hoods have not only risen to the top of Australian Hip Hop, but have cemented themselves a place at the very forefront of the Australian Music Industry.
