Rocket Man Elton John will perform one show at Wellington's Westpac Stadium in November next year.
The Follow the Yellow Brick Road tour will see the singer embark on a world tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his iconic album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which was remastered and re-released this year.
The concert will also feature classic hits from throughout Elton John's five-decade career, which has seen him become one of the highest selling solo artists of all time, with more than 250 million records sold worldwide.
Wellington ratepayers will be the first in the country to be given access to secure tickets for the concert. The pre-sale starts on October 7th, and the rest of the country will be given the chance to buy tickets two weeks later.
It will be the first time he has performed in Wellington in nine years, when he played at the same venue for The Captain and the Kid tour. He has since performed in Auckland, New Plymouth and Dunedin.
