Joey Bada$$ and Run the Jewels NZ Tour
Two of the most exciting acts in hip hop right now have teamed up for a double headliner New Zealand tour.

Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ will be performing in Auckland and Wellington with Fool's Gold's Run the Jewels.

With a meteoric rise onto the scene in early 2012, 19-year-old Joey Bada$$'s style effortlessly masters the nostalgic 90’s boom-bap sounds yet remains 100% a part of the new school, thanks to appearances with ASAP Rocky and Mac Miller. His debut album B4.Da.$$ is due out next week. This will be Joey Bada$$'s second New Zealand appearance, after performing at the Powerstation last December.

One of the highlights of this year's Laneway Festival, Run the Jewels' El-P and Killer Mike first got together when they worked on Killer Mike's classic album, R.A.P. Music, produced by El-P. After realising the strength of their collaboration, Run the Jewels was formed and their debut released on Fool's Gold records. Their follow up, RTJ2, is due for release late October on Nas' Mass Appeal Records.

A Kickstarter account has been made by fans who want to see the release of a RTJ2 remix album comprised entirely of cat sounds, titled Meow the Jewls. El-P has promised to make the album if the fundraiser meets its target.
