Hazy guitar pop trio Yumi Zouma has been announced as the support act for Lorde's New Zealand tour.
Youmi Zouma began in 2013, when three friends from Christchurch started making music together, collaborating via the internet between their far-flung homes in Christchurch, Paris and New York. They signed with indie label Cascine in the States on the basis of the first single The Brae. Blog hype followed, and as did a debut EP in February. Their live performances are infrequent yet exceptional and Lorde's Pure Heroine tour allows New Zealanders a rare opportunity to catch the band on home turf.
For the Pure Heroine tour, Lorde has focused on creating the ultimate concert experience for her fans, incorporating a variety of video content and a dazzling lighting set up, in what will be the last tour for this album. Such is the excitement surrounding Lorde in her home country, that the Dunedin show has already sold out, with the other shows surely to do the same.
