The Courtneys to join Parquet Courts tonight in Auckland

Canadian band The Courtneys have been announced as a last-minute addition to tonight's Parquet Courts gig at King's Arms.

The Courtneys are known for their slacker/guitar pop tunes that draws inspiration from Dinasaur Jr., the Flying Nun sound and Riot Grrrl bands of the 90's.

The Courtneys have been in New Zealand this weekend, performing in Auckland and Wellington, while Parquet Courts are embarking on a four-date tour this week.

Local bands Civil Union and Salad Boys will also be performing tonight.
