Trinity Roots Announces New Zealand Tour

Trinity Roots are heading out on a national tour this May and June to celebrate the release of 'Citizen', their first album since 2004's 'Home, Land and Sea'.

The soul and reggae band will perform in 14 centres around New Zealand, closing the tour with a homecoming show at Wellington's San Fran on Saturday 20th June.

'Citizen' is a "snapshot of the band’s progression and development since the creation of the previous two albums". With a new drummer in Ben Wood, Warren Maxwell and Rio Hemopo "have expanded their palette of sound and produced something informative and resonant with present day Aotearoa", with Maxwell saying, "I feel like we’ve tried to stay true and sincere to all kaupapa in the songs – they all come from a genuine place for genuine purpose. Our intent is the same as it has always been – to convey honest musings on a vehicle of sonic influences to whomever wishes to listen."

Tickets are available now from Eventfinda.
