In a statement, both she and the tour promoter, Live Nation, apologised for the show's cancellation. Live Nation added that it is not possible at the moment to reschedule the show due to Amy's busy schedule but are looking to see if they can work on a possible return date to New Zealand.
Fans who have booked their tickets online or by phone using credit card need not take any action for they will be refunded in full. The refund will automatically appear in their account within ten days. Meanwhile, those who purchased tickets with a credit card that is now cancelled or no longer valid, need to contact the point of purchase.
In addition, those who made the booking at an outlet should return to the original outlet and present a photo ID, along with the ticket and the credit card used, to obtain the refund.
The cancelled show was part of Amy Schumer's 2016 world tour and was supposed to be her debut show in New Zealand.
