Genesis’ powerhouse guitarist, Steve Hackett is thrilled to bring his Genesis Revisited tour to New Zealand shores this July.
Genesis are inarguably one of the most important progressive rock bands ever and Steve Hackett has been a guiding influence for musicians and guitarists for over 40 years. His dazzling guitar playing and his world class band is equal to the task, presenting extraordinarily proficient performances, sensitive to the original recordings yet adding very clear nuances and personality to the music.
Genesis classics ‘Dance On A Volcano’, ‘Eleventh Earl Of Mar’ and ‘Afterglow’ have never been performed here, and Hackett’s incendiary guitar work on a magnum opus such as ‘Dancing With The Moonlit Knight'. A couple of songs from his forthcoming album, 'The Night Siren' will be played before whetting the appetite for a grand finale that will leave fans ecstatic.
Steve Hackett will be playing here for the first time and he's hugely looking forward to it. He thought it would be great to meet fans and friends and he knew it's an incredibly beautiful country. He's bringing a special set, including big favourites like 'Supper's Ready', 'The Musical Box' and 'Firth of Fifth' amongst many other stellar Genesis numbers and some solo.
