American rapper YG brings his first solo tour in Auckland this June.
YG is undoubtedly a pre-eminent figure in the thriving US urban music scene as was hailed from the beating heart of LA's rap scene. He started turning heads in 2008 with his debut mixtape '4Fingaz' before releasing 'Toot It' and 'Boot It' in collaboration with rap icon, Ty Dolla Sign, which soared up the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009.
With a reputation as a compelling story-teller, YG went on to make his mark with his debut full-length album 'My Krazy Life' in 2014 and last year's critically-acclaimed 'Still Brazy' featuring some of the biggest names in the game, like Lil Wayne and Drake.
Kiwi hip-hop group, SWIDT (See What I Did There?) sets the mood as they join YG on stage to open the show. The group have been whipping up a frenzy on dancefloors across NZ since their debut in 2016 single and video 'No More Parties in Stoneyhunga'.
