Blackbear Hits Auckland Roads For the First Time this November

Fall captive to the alluring sounds of American hip-hop artist Blackbear as he brings his unique mixes to Auckland this November.

Los Angeles-based Blackbear (Matthew Musto) is no stranger to writing and recording hits. In 2012, Blackbear co-wrote Justin Bieber's worldwide smash hit 'Boyfriend' with Mike Posner. He released his debut album 'Deadroses' with special guests Travis Mills, G-Eazy and James Blake and in 2014, his second album 'Help' naturally topped the Billboard’s Uncharted list.

Being one of the most versatile artists of the decade, Blackbear isn’t afraid to keep true to himself and the results are paying off. A few side projects later, we have the full incarnation of Blackbear with his 2017 album 'Digital Druglord' which continues the upward trend and raises the bar to new heights.

After teasing his third album for months on Twitter, the new 10-track record has critics rejoicing over its unique blend of sharp R&B/rap/hip-hop that effortlessly weaves in and out of slow jams and floor-fillers. The success of the album couldn’t come at a better time as he sets out on one of his most ambitious tours to date. With the precision of a surgeon, he expertly touches on the themes close to home: drugs, money and sex.

This is an opportunity to see the perfect amalgamation of modern hip-hop and R&B in person this November.
