Young up-and-coming Northland rock band Reflecks have secured a slot on the Northland leg of the forthcoming summer tour.
Reflecks came together as part of Be Free Youth Programme, a local music mentoring programme run by local Claire Gordon that gives youth the opportunity to gain confidence through song-writing and performance skills.
The band is made up of six young musicians from years 10, 11 and 12 at Kerikeri High School; Bella Mason on lead vocals, Myer Robb, backing vocals, Felix Danilo, lead guitar, Cameron Dudley, rhythm guitar, Brea Marsh, bass guitar and Jack French on drums.
“Elemeno P and Jordan Luck Band were keen to support the local music scene on this tour, so we had been looking for a rock act with their own original music” explains promoter, Jackie Sanders of Jacman Entertainment, “we were completely blown away by these young musicians. It’s one thing to be able to write songs, but to be able to write great songs and perform them live like these kids can is on another level”
Concert-goers can see Reflecks at the Northland shows this December in Mangawhai, Russell, Opononi and Marsden Cove. Tickets are on sale now at Eventfinda.co.nz
About Elemeno P & Jordan Luck Band Summer Tour 2017
Pop-rock maestros Elemeno P burst onto the kiwi music scene in the early noughties with a string of fast-paced, quirky hits, a triple-platinum selling album and storming in-ya-face live performances. They soon became one of the nation’s favourites, with sell out fun-infused gigs across the land and a well-deserved New Zealand Music Award in 2006 for Best Group.
One of New Zealand’s biggest selling rock bands, their first album, Love & Disrespect was released on 4 July 2003, reaching number one on the RIANZ albums chart and 3 x Platinum status, something that only a mere sprinkling of NZ artists have ever achieved. The infectious anthems on the album include Verona, Every Day’s A Saturday and Fast Times in Tahoe.
Their second album, Trouble in Paradise was released on 24 November 2005 and includes the singles 11:57, Burn, One Left Standing and You Are. The third and final album to date, Elemeno P was released on 26 May 2008 and featured the rock smash hit, Baby Come On.
This will be the first Elemeno P summer tour in almost 8 years, the band are excited to get back out to some of the iconic New Zealand summer hot-spots and turn up the noise.
Jordan Luck Band are one of the best live bands in the country. Jordan fronted Dance Exponents, later The Exponents, and the hits are numerous; Victoria, I’ll Say Goodbye, Who Loves Who The Most, What Ever Happened to Tracey, Why Does Love Do This To Me….and so many more. A Jordan Luck gig has become a must-do for every kiwi’s summer calendar.
