2Cellos bring their 'Score & More' show to Auckland this December

Music's most electric and dynamic instrumental duo 2Cellos are taking their fans to unimaginable heights, performing their game-changing 'Score & More' show at Auckland's The Civic this December.

Before amusing their eagerly-awaiting fans in NZ, 2Cellos will first be playing their Australian tour. The duo will be performing their shows happening in the Gold Coast, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.

Young Croatian cellists—Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser—continue to soar worldwide, bringing audiences to their feet with their incredible talent and undeniable passion. Having recently performed at the 'UEFA Champions League Final' to an estimated global audience of 350 million, 2Cellos entertained viewers with their interpretation of 'UEFA Champions League' anthem and cover of the White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army' at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine.

2Cellos rose to fame in 2011 when their version of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' took the world by storm. The YouTube video became a massive viral hit leading to a record deal with Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks and an invitation to join Sir Elton John's worldwide tour. They were the first instrumentalists to be featured on 'Glee' and have appeared multiple times on 'The Today Show' and 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' in addition to 'The Tonight Show' and 'The Bachelor Live Wedding Special' among others.

The pair's playing style breaks down the boundaries between different genres of music, from classical and film to pop and rock. 2Cellos have no limits when it comes to performing live—equally as impressive playing Bach and Vivaldi as they are rocking out to AC/DC and Iron Maiden.

Their third album 'Celloverse' debuted at no. 1 on both the Billboard Classical and Classical Crossover charts, as well as charting in the Billboard Top 200. The world tour that followed the release resulted in 42 sold-out dates, captivating millions of audiences. The viral video for their celebrated track 'Thunderstruck' has racked up more than 119 million views to date on YouTube.

This year, 2Cellos will be blasting up venues in celebration of their fourth album 'Score'. Exploring a more traditional musical sound, the duo recorded the album in summer 2016 with the London Symphony Orchestra, with conductor/arranger Robin Smith at the helm. It celebrates the most popular and enduring music ever written for classic, contemporary movies and television. 2Cellos first gave Aussie fans a taste of their album 'Score' during a spectacular performance filmed live at the Sydney Opera House in 2016, ahead of its 2017 release.

Prior to its release, Score's first music video—a medley of themes from 'Game of Thrones'—racked up more than five million views on YouTube (now 22 million+ views). The album also features memorable themes from 'The Lord of the Rings', 'Gladiator', 'Titanic', 'Braveheart', 'The Godfather', 'Cinema Paradiso', 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', 'Schindler's List' and many more.

In addition to their many sold-out solo tours, the duo have performed in numerous prestigious venues and events such as Madison Square Garden, Paris Olympia, Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and the Emmy Awards. Throughout their seven-year career, 2Cellos have shared stages with music superstars including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, George Michael and Lang Lang.

Prepare to witness what'll be a spell-binding evening from one of music's phenomenal pairs, 2Cellos.
